    Interested in Ikebana?
The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association is sponsoring a three-week course in Japanese flower arranging (Ikebana). Dates for the course are September 4, 18, and 25, 2025. After the last session, a public exhibition of the arrangements will be held at the Nineteenth Century Club.
Instructor Yuko Inoue is a traditionally trained Ikebana artist from Japan. While she maintains the classic Japanese art mindset, she explores and incorporates international and contemporary art into her Ikebana.
Partially underwritten by a grant from the Toshiba Foundation, this three-week course is just $50 per person. For more information or to register, contact Becky Grajeda at 708-386-2729 or bgrajeda@nineteenthcentury.org
The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association’s mission is strengthening our community through learning, giving, and sharing our landmark building, The Nineteenth Century Club. The Association was established in 1891 by a group of visionary women who believed education, charitable activities and civic involvement were vital elements in a thriving community. The spirit of the founders continues through grants, scholarships and public programming.
