VIRTUAL MEETUP: Nonprofit Affinity Group
Come join the Chamber's new nonprofit affinity group for our fourth gathering, this month for Zoom learning about "Creating a Successful Junior Board"!
A junior, or associate, board is a group of younger supporters organized to assist a nonprofit with fundraising and outreach. They don't have the oversight responsibility of a board of directors, but can be seen as a pool of cultivated supporters from which future board members may be drawn.
Our resource people for this call are Mark Walden, Program Manager at the OPRF Chamber of Commerce and creator of the junior board at the Seminary Consortium for Urban Pastoral Education; Cheryl Wisniewski, board member at Echo Theatre Collective, who worked with the junior board at Mujeres Latinas en Accion; and Rhea Yap, Director of Fund & Donor Development at the OPRF Community Foundation and former member of the associate board at the Chinese American Service League. Rhea is staff coordinator for NextGen, the OPRF Community Foundation's younger giving circle of which Cheryl and Mark are members.
Come for the content, and enjoy a little networking with local nonprofit peers as well. See you via Zoom!VIRTUAL MEETUP: Nonprofit Affinity Gr...Date and Time
