Dominican University’s Brennan School of Business presents Ace Hardware Chief Marketing Officer Kim Lefko in its annual Global Speaker Series Lecture on Wednesday, March 18 at 6:30 p.m. The lecture, titled “Challenges Within an Ever-Changing Global Marketplace,” will be held in the Martin Recital Hall and will be preceded by a networking reception at 5:30 p.m. Lefko has over 25 years of experience growing iconic brands such as Black & Decker, Newell Rubbermaid, Radio Flyer and Weber Grills. Her current role at Ace Hardware focuses on leading the brand’s digital transformation and creating compelling marketing campaigns to support over 5,000 retail stores around the world. Ace Hardware has experienced steady growth in a highly competitive marketplace; achieving same store sales growth for eight consecutive years. Prior to her tenure with Ace Hardware, Lefko served as the senior vice president of marketing in the Americas and global chief marketing officer at Weber Stephen Products, best known for its charcoal kettle and gas grills. She was involved in launching the company’s first digitally connected grilling device and building an award-winning ecommerce website in 41 countries. As senior vice president of sales and marketing at Radio Flyer, Lefko oversaw the launch of the 100-year-old company’s first ecommerce website and planned product launches for new product categories including balance-bikes, two-wheel scooters and custom-built wagons. Lefko spent 10 years transitioning Graco Children’s Products, a family owned baby-gear business, to one of the largest business units within Newell Rubbermaid. She started her career in sales and marketing at Black & Decker, where she was involved in product management, event marketing and national account management.
