  • New Fire Code Compliance Reporting System - Oak Park

The OPRF Chamber is partnering with Takeout25 to bring you this timely program!

    Who is Presenting?

Fire Marshal Thompson, from the Village of Oak Park Fire Department, will provide an overview of the Village's new fire code compliance reporting system, known as Brycer, and businesses' reporting obligations. He will answer questions on the system and the fire code regulations.
    .

    Why is this Important?

The new Brycer system, while designed to simplify reporting and ensure compliance, has resulted in an increase in deficiency notices from the Fire Department and confusion over business owners' obligations with respect to those deficiencies and the corrections process. Fire Marshal Thompson will provide clarity on the process and the substance.
    .

    Who Should Attend?

Anyone with fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and fire pumps. These systems are in most:
    • restaurants, cafes and food service establishments
    • apartments/condo buildings
    • grocery stores
    • churches
    • strip malls
    • Government buildings
