Hoiday Family Community Musical

New Family Holiday Community Musical At the Kerhein Center For The Arts Chicago, IL – On Monday, December 11th, 2023, at the Kerhein Center For The Arts, there will be a free Family Holiday Community Musical and dinner served. Doors open at 6:00 pm, and dinner is served at 6:15 pm. The show will begin at 7:00 pm.

We look to have representation at the Kerhein Center that night by all west side communities. “Music is a universal healing agent, safety in our communities is extremely important in our daily commutes. Community policing can be utilized in various manners and this concert is proof that community partners and the Chicago Police Department can come together to create a safe space in fine arts with our youth and adults during this holiday season,” says Lieutenant Daniel Allen, 011th Police District. Youth and adults will showcase their talents through skits, singing, and music. “This is an event that you do not want to miss. Just like the Chicago West Side Sports, community organizations, faith-based organizations, volunteers, and other stakeholders are joining together to form the Chicago West Side Arts,” says Tina Augustus, president of the Chicago West Side Chamber of Commerce. Some of the performers include the notable Chicago Multi-Cultural Center for the Arts, and the Hiplet Ballerinas, community resident; Chicago Park District Ms. Dionne Hawkins, director; and MC by west side comedian, Cleo Clark.

This community musical is a collaboration of the Area 4 CAPS Police Districts (10, 11, 15), 15th District Explorers & CAPS Police District 25; the Chicago Park District; the Kerhein Center for the Arts; the Chicago Multi-Cultural Center for the Arts, and the Hiplet Ballerinas; the Chicago West Side Chamber of Commerce; and local community stakeholders.
