• Rob Guenthner

  • Director (1-year Presidential appointee), Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce

    Committee:  TBD

    Member Organization:  Kettlestrings Tavern

    Bio:

Rob Guenthner is an owner of Kettlestrings Kitchen & Tap, the operator of Kettlestrings Tavern and soon-to-come Kettlestrings Grove and Betty's Pizza and Pasta. Rob is also the Chief Legal Officer for Oak Street Health, a publicly traded national provider of primary care for adults on Medicare. Rob and the rest of the Kettlestrings team opened Kettlestrings Tavern in March of 2020 and have witnessed first hand the challenges of running a small business during particularly trying times and, more importantly, the tremendous support that the Oak Park and River Forest community is willing to provide to its local businesses.

Rob earned a Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Washington University in Saint Louis. Prior to graduate school, Rob was a commercial banker and received a B.S. from the University of Dayton.

Rob has lived in Oak Park with his wife Katie since 2009 and, in what they believe may make them the longest continuously running family in the school's history, have had a child at Beye Elementary continuously since that time. Older children now attend or have attended Julian Middle School and OPRF. Rob is an avid believer in the power of community efforts, particularly in close knit communities like Oak Park and River Forest.
