Bio:
Aracelis is the Manager of Collaborative Organizational Partnerships within the College of Applied Social Sciences at Dominican University. After graduating Dominican University with an undergraduate degree, Aracelis went on to DePaul University to obtain a Masters in International Studies. She later returned to Dominican as both an adjunct faculty member, and staff member. In her adjunct role, she teaches introduction to sociology, writing in sociology, and the sociology of gender. She currently is pursuing a second masters in Dominican’s Trauma Informed Leadership program, as she seeks to be an empathetic and effective values driven leader. As an alumna, Aracelis has a deep commitment to Dominican and works towards creating and sustaining lasting partnerships with organizations, businesses, and other institutions of higher education.
While not a resident in the Oak Park area, Aracelis considers Oak Park River Forest as a second home since she has been consistently in the area for school and work since 2011. Aracelis is a fur-mom to two pitbulls, Kobe and Koko. In her spare time, Aracelis loves cooking new recipes, hanging out on a rooftop bar with friends, and traveling the world.
