#1. You got nominated! Make it a big deal! If your customers took the time to nominate you (which involves writing a whole paragraph on why they nominated you), you better believe they are rooting for you and your business. They want to hear good news about you! Post immediately on your social media, with a different post for each category in which you were nominated.
#2. Thank everyone. This award is definitely in recognition of you and what you do (good job!),
but none of that happens in a vacuum. Thank your customers, thank your employees, thank the Chamber for putting the whole thing together -- you will never go wrong with a position of gratitude and joy over your nomination.
#3. Show off your new shiny decal! The Chamber will be sending you a Spotlight Award decal to stick in your window. Display it with pride and let customers know that you’re so very grateful they took the time to nominate you.
#4. Add it to your bio. Just being nominated is an honor in itself, there are a lot of businesses that never even get a nomination. Make sure you add it to your online bios, including LinkedIn and in your email signature. You want your customers and potential clients to know that you are in the race to be one of the best businesses in our area.

#5. RSVP for the Business After Hours at the 19th Century Club on October 9th. Did you know that if your company is a member of the Chamber, ALL your employees are members? Make it a staff outing! This is a fun and well-attended event, and you should share your celebration with the people who make your business great.

#6. Post! Post! Post! Seriously, you can’t do too much social media. Some of Lively’s most popular posts have been ones where we celebrate our successes with our customers. Encourage your employees to post about it too! Oak Park wants its businesses to thrive, and they are so happy when we do.
Congratulations on your nomination! We will see you October 9th!
