Advisory Council
The Advisory Council is a committee of prominent individuals, Chamber members and community leaders, who meet quarterly to discuss topics of import to the future of the Chamber and the local economy. The Board of Directors appoints members to the Council and annually presents focus areas for discussion and recommendation.
2015-16 Focus Areas
How can the Chamber best stay relevent to an ever-changing business community? The Advisory Council will be tasked with brainstorming trends and identifying for the Board areas for potential strategic focus. Examples to begin the conversation:
- National brands and franchises - is this an area of potential growth for the Chamber?
- The Austin Community - should the Chamber develop a strategy to collaborate and/or build greater ties with our eastern neighbors?
