Valentine Violins
The sweet sound of violins will bring OPRF Museum to life on Thursday Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. to kick off Valentine’s Day weekend. Violinists Kathryn Siegel and Marty Hackl of Syncronia will play classic love songs from stage and screen on the eve of this lovely holiday. So bring a friend or your significant other for a night of live music and refreshments. Syncronia was formed in 2018 when Kathryn Siegel (violin) and Marty Hackl (violin/viola) teamed up to form a duo. Siegel has been performing for more than two decades with orchestras on many concert stages. She played with the Gulbenkian Orchestra of Lisbon, Portugal for six years, touring Europe and South America. Hackl, a former Oak Park resident, has performed for many years in the Chicago area as a recitalist, and as a member of many of the region's notable ensembles.
