The Writing Room A 4-Week Workshop for People Who've Been Meaning to Write
Each week, a small group of eight community members will gather around a short reading, pick up our pens, and write for ten uninterrupted minutes. Prompts will be provided, but their use is not required. With Bobby Hulme-Lippert facilitating at the Oak Park Library (Main), group members will share their writing, listen to each other, and do it again. It's in the act of writing and sharing that the best discoveries arrive.
There are no workshop critiques, no homework, and no experience required - only curiosity and the willingness to show up.

Bobby Hulme-Lippert is a writer, leadership coach, and the author of Small Stories about Big Things, a collection of forty-five short pieces drawn from the everyday moments that can be easy to miss. An award-winning storyteller and member of the OPRF Chamber, Bobby has spent years workshopping stories — and learned, again and again, that the page comes most alive when we stop trying to get it right and simply start writing. With others. He lives in Oak Park with his wife and two young children.Video
