Nonprofit Affinity Group / Healthcare and Benefits for staff
The Chamber's Nonprofit Affinity Group gathers the first Thursday of most months to connect with each other and benefit from some professional development. We start at 12:30 with time to network, then have our presenter begin at 1 pm. We welcome you to join us!
This month: Healthcare and Benefits for Staff
Our health insurance "system" can make it difficult for smaller and lower-budget organizations to provide the insurance and related benefits that staff need for themselves and their families. But there are ways to make it work! Come learn about options that could make it easier for your organization to take care of valued staff.
And if you have time, come early and join us at noon for lunch! Rustico has great food, and we're glad to support them during the season of construction outside!
WHO IS OUR FACILITATOR?

Dan Mahoney is currently a Business Performance Advisor with Insperity, helping nonprofits and businesses with 3 to 3000 employees grow their top line, mitigate risk, and cut costs, all while helping them to find, cultivate, and retain top talent, taking the burden of human capital management off their plate.
Growing up in Chicagoland, Dan has resided in the Oak Park / River Forest area since 2014 and has strong ties to the community. Dan is proud father of 6 and grandfather of 7. His younger children have attended William Hatch Elementary, Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School and currently attend OPRFHS.
A lifelong musician, Dan co-founded Fort Knox Studios Chicago in 2011 where he served as the managing partner until 2019. In 2014 Dan also co- founded the 2112 Music and Film Tech Business Incubator in Chicago where he also served as managing partner. During a ribbon cutting ceremony and press conference for 2112, then Chicago Mayor, Rahm Emanual called Fort Knox Studios and 2112 “A pearl in the oyster that is Chicago”.
