Nonprofit Affinity Group / Annual Appeal Tuneup
The Chamber's Nonprofit Affinity Group gathers the first Thursday of most months to connect with each other and benefit from some professional development. We start at 12:30 with time to network, then have our presenter begin at 1 pm. Or come a little earlier to join a few of us for lunch (pay-your-own-way) starting at noon - look for us in the back room! We welcome you to join us!
This month: Annual Appeal Tuneup
Most nonprofits send an annual appeal letter to donors - at small nonprofits, it may be the organization's biggest source of revenue. So it's important to get it right! But there is so much to think about - when should it go out? How long should lapsed donors be kept on the list? How should donors be addressed? Who should get it electronically, and who by postal mail? What should be different between the two appeal letters? Is it still worth including a return envelope? Putting a stamp on the envelope?
Development pro Juliet Yera will share from her experience and help pool all our wisdom as we discuss how to tune up our annual appeals for 2026!
