National Prescription Take Back Day

The Prevention Services team of Oak Park and River Forest Townships are hosting a Prescription Take Back Day on Saturday, October 23rd, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Township office, 105 S. Oak Park Avenue. Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to potential accidental poisoning, misuse, and overdose. Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment. Privacy procedures will be followed. No needles or creams, please. JUUL, Vape Pens and Cartridges will also be collected, and a limited number of free Prescription Lock Box and Drug Deactivation kits will be available.
