Hair Care With Heart.

PROGRAMS: Styles 4 Kidz In Your City; Salon Program; Hands-On Training & Education; On Location Program

OUR VISION: To build a diverse community of people creating and celebrating hairstyles that boost kids' self-esteem and cultural pride.

Tamekia Swint, Founder of S4K is passionate about hair! ''From a young age I always liked doing hair and I have always worked hard at perfecting my craft.'' After going on a missions trip and teaching a hair braiding class Tamekia learned that she had a gift for teaching others and upon her return, she was introduced to a transracial adoptive mom who needed help.

''I started Styles 4 Kidz because I found that transracial adoptive and foster parents weren't immediately prepared for the day-to-day management of African-American hair and I really wanted to help. It's my passion paired to a mission!'' With coaching and guidance from Tamekia Swint and Styles 4 Kidz staff, trans-racial adoptive parents experience relief from ''feeling frustrated'' to feeling ''confident'' about their haircare skill level. They take pride in every style & teach their kids how to love their hair.
