Panel: Small Business Finance & Funding
Please join us on Tuesday, May 5th at 9:15 AM as local experts on small business finance and funding share their expertise on key considerations and options available to local entrepreneurs as they start, manage, and grow their businesses. The presentation will be followed by an opportunity for the audience to engage with the panelists as a group and individually if time allows. Preceding the panel, Chris Voirin (Doctor of Physical Therapy, owner of Oak Park-based Mindful Motion Physical Therapy, and mindfulness meditation practitioner/teacher) will lead the audience in a meditation to center us as we dive into our discussion on a sometimes-stressful topic.
For more than 60 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has celebrated National Small Business Week (NSBW), which acknowledges the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. National Small Business Week 2026 will take place May 3-9, and SBA will officially recognize their hard work, ingenuity, dedication, and their contributions to the economy.
This National Small Business Week program is co-presented by the Village of Oak Park Office of Economic Vitality, Dominican University Brennan School of Business, and the Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce.
