Panel & Open House: Resources for Oak Park's Women & Minority Business Enterprises
The Oak Park community welcomes and supports small businesses operated by women and diverse entrepreneurs. The Village of Oak Park Office of Economic Vitality, the Oak Park River Forest Chamber of Commerce, Dominican University, and the Oak Park Public Library invite owners and employees of local WBEs, MBEs, and allies to attend a panel and open house to kick off National Small Business Week on Monday, May 4th at 9:15 AM. This event will feature an introductory presentation by a panel of local experts followed by an open house/office hours format for attendees to connect directly with experts on topics of importance to them and make plans to follow up where needs and resources align.
For more than 60 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has celebrated National Small Business Week (NSBW), which acknowledges the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. National Small Business Week 2026 will take place May 3-9, and SBA will officially recognize their hard work, ingenuity, dedication, and their contributions to the economy.
This National Small Business Week program is co-presented by the Village of Oak Park Office of Economic Vitality, Dominican University Brennan School of Business, and the Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce.
