Nonprofit Affinity Group / "Zen and the Art of Nonprofit Strategic Planning"
The Chamber's Nonprofit Affinity Group gathers the first Thursday of most months to connect with each other and benefit from some professional development. We start at 12:30 with time to network, then have our presenter begin at 1 pm. We welcome you to join us!
This month: "Zen and the Art of Nonprofit Strategic Planning"
A strategic plan is a key management tool for a nonprofit organization, as it spells out the organization's goals, the path to achieving them, and the resources needed along the way. But they are also notorious for sitting unused on the shelf, as there is no mechanism for incorporating them into day-to-day operations, or they feel irrelevant after circumstances have changed.
Here enters the Zen element - how does a nonprofit leader manage, the document meant to manage the organization? We'll learn from Shailushi's extensive experience!
