    Committee: TBD
    Leadership Role(s): TBD

    Member Organization: Beyond Hunger

    Bio:

Teri Miller serendipitously fell into nonprofit work after a long career in sales and customer service.  Fresh out of The Ohio State University, Teri first began working in sales for her family’s real estate title business. She moved to Chicago in 1995 and worked in customer service for several international companies, learning more about manufacturing tour buses and paper than she ever thought possible. After a short detour as a massage therapist, a neighbor introduced her to PADS (now Housing Forward) and her determination to serve the local community was born.

Teri was named the inaugural Director of Development for Beyond Hunger in 2018. In this role, Teri is responsible for managing an ambitious, mission-driven fundraising program to support Beyond Hunger’s efforts to relieve hunger in the 13 communities by providing emergency food relief, nutrition education and social service programs.  She is passionate about engaging and inspiring individuals and corporations to meet the food insecurity needs of local families and creating a hunger-free community.

Teri has lived in Oak Park for 16 years with her husband and son. When she is not at work, you will find her creating some new concoction in the kitchen or enjoying time with family and friends.
