    Bio:

Christine Lon is the operations manager at CrossFunction Flexible Workspace. Christine received her B.S. in housing and community development at the University of Minnesota and began her career at the Minneapolis Star Tribune. For five years, Christine served roles in the Star’s direct marketing department, including traffic coordination and project management in the automotive and real estate categories.

In 2005, Christine leaped in entrepreneurship and opened a small barbeque and smokehouse restaurant in rural Minnesota. An offer she couldn’t refuse saw her sell the restaurant in 2008 and return to project management with Gabbert’s Furniture in Edina, MN. PM success led her to a bigger opportunity with TCF Bank in 2009.

A growing family, two daughters and son, coupled with moves to Nashville, then to Chicago, grounded Christine’s PM career though she found time to become a licensed insurance agent and grab her real estate broker’s license. The flexibility of sales afforded Christine the opportunity to keep her day job (chief household officer) and stay business sharp.

Things changed in 2017 when husband, Trent, vacated a 20-year career in corporate marketing to launch his own venture in real estate and property management and needed a good project manager.

Today, Christine has successfully co-steered CrossFunction through the challenges of the pandemic while still holding down CHO duties at the family’s home in nearby Wheaton. The Land of 10,000 Laker’s life passions include travel, the outdoors, her native Cambodia, food, Golden Gopher Football and her party of five.
