Where Are We Eating This Month?
Spilt Milk, the beloved sister-owned bakery-cafe in Oak Park, now reopened for sit-down dining!
Tell Me About This Month's Host
Spilt Milk has long been known for their delicious bakery creations, and now offers a savory menu as well! And after long being carryout only, Meg and Molly have now reopened their cafe for sit-down dining - and we'll get to enjoy a buffet-style lunch under their backyard tent!
Cost includes entree, tax, and tip! Now, from our hosts:
Here is the menu:
Sandwiches (we will have all three available, so people can try one, two, or all three):
- Ham & Cheese - Slagel Farms shaved ham, Gruyere cheese, grainy mustard, house made pickles, European butter
- Garden Goddess - roasted beets, cucumber, avocado, pea shoots, house made goddess dressing,
- Smoked Chicken Salad - House smoked chicken in our creamy créme fraiche dressing on a flaky, buttery Publican Quality Bread croissant
Salads (we will have both available, so people can try one or both):
- Spilt Milk House Salad - tender lettuces, shaved radishes, cucumbers, hemp seeds, house ranch dressing (gluten-free)
- Seasonal Grain Salad - hearty grains with seasonal farm veggies & house made vinaigrette
We will also serve Great Lakes Potato Chips, an assortment of Spilt Milk cookies, freshly squeezed lemonade, SPIRIT iced tea, & Metric coffee.
In addition to the menu, we would like to do a
wine tasting during the event. This will give people a chance to sample some of our incredible natural wines, and give us a chance to showcase some of these smaller vineyards and producers we are working with that are really unique and exciting!
When registering we would just ask guests to let us know about ANY dietary restrictions. Both of the salads on this menu CAN be offered as vegan, and the garden goddess sandwich is vegetarian.
Where Should I Park?
There is metered parking on Oak Park Avenue, or free parking on nearby side streets.
