Thatcher Woods Walking Tour

The Des Plaines River has been a major part of the history of River Forest from the first Indigenous people to the Cook County Forest Preserves. Join us on a walking tour of Thatcher Woods from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, to learn more. Walk begins and ends at Trailside Museum, 738 Thatcher Ave., River Forest. Tickets are $10 (or $8 for members) and may be purchased in our online store or by phone at (708) 848-6755. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water if desired. No refunds will be given for reservations cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the event.  (Group tours on other dates may be booked by special arrangement.
