The Symphony of Oak Park & River Forest opens its 91st season on Sunday, October 2, at 4 p.m. at Concordia University’s Chapel in River Forest. The program features pianist Winston Choi in Brahms Concerto #1 and also includes Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 2, which is full of Ukrainian folk melodies. The award-winning Symphony of Oak Park & River Forest is led by Music Director Jay Friedman.
A preconcert lecture will begin at 3 p.m. Free parking is available in the parking structure at Bonnie Brae and Thomas. Everyone in attendance must wear a mask at the concert. Tickets are $30 ($27 if ordered online before concert day), and students through college are admitted free of charge. A subscription for all four season concerts is available for $100.
