Life can be very difficult. Fortunately, Buddhist psychology and meditations called "transforming adverse conditions" offer effective methods to help navigate life's hardships. Instead of feeling stuck and helpless, we develop an inner power to transform suffering into healthy and positive states of mind, such as love, compassion and joy. Not only do we grow spiritually, but we also become a genuinely positive influence in our world.
Guest Teacher Kadam Lucy James is the Resident Teacher of KMC Colorado. A very early disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and a senior teacher of Kadampa Buddhism, she has taught extensively in England, Florida, and San Francisco and helped set up many thriving meditation centers in the past 44 years.
