Bite Nite is the kick-off to Foodie Fest
In 2013, the OPRF Chamber of Commerce together with the Visit Oak Park tourism bureau, our primary retail district Downtown Oak Park and the Wednesday Journal / oakpark.com decided to hold a festival to let everyone know that this area is a dining destination!
In its third year now, our local "restaurant week" Foodie Fest will follow Bite Nite again in 2017. Restaurants feature prix fixe menus, each with three items or courses. Meals are priced at either $10, $20 or $30.
Are you in the food industry? Participate for free! You decide on the Bite Nite sample or Foodie Fest menu, and we will help you market!
"Great event, looking forward to doing it again in 2017!"
- Christine Tully Aranza, Autre Monde Cafe
"Bite Nite 2015 was a great event for us because we were in front of a demographic who enjoys our product, fine wine! We were able to share a taste of our most popular wine and introduce guests to our company and home samplings, so they have the opportunity to explore more of our wines by booking their own private sampling down the road."
- Erin Meier, New Client Development Manager at PRP Wine International
"We feel very strongly that we've got a dining destination here in the Oak Park / River Forest / Forest Park area. The more we can get not just our locals but people outside the area to come and visit our restaurants, the better off we are. Of course, the [end of January, beginning of February] it's pretty slow in the restaurant business so this is an opportunity for the restaurants to highlight themselves without adding any additional cost."- Cathy Yen, Executive Director at the Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce
