My Right is a Future of Equality: The Art and Politics of Elizabeth Catlett—Sarah Kelly Oehler In conjunction with the exhibition “Elizabeth Catlett: A Black Revolutionary Artist and All That It Implies” currently on view at the Art Institute of Chicago, curator Sarah Kelly Oehler will explore the intertwined art and politics of Elizabeth Catlett (1915-2012), who was not only a deft sculptor and printmaker, but also an ardent feminist and lifelong social activist.
