• Oak Park - River Forest Chamber of Commerce Announces 4th Annual Business Spotlight Award Winners

    OAK PARK, IL -
    The Oak Park – River Forest Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the winners for the 4th Annual Business Spotlight Awards, held Tuesday, October 15th, at the Nineteenth Century Club.  The event, hosted by the Chamber’s Immediate Past President Robert Stelletello, featured award presenters Cathy Adduci, Village President of River Forest; Senator Don Harmon; State Representative Camille Lilly; and Bruce Elegant, President and CEO, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and drew nearly 250 attendees representing top local business and government leaders.
    Local residents and loyal customers nominated businesses and organizations in each of six categories. Led by co-chairs Jonathan Biag (Escape Factor) and Gary Longstein (Allstate Insurance - Oak Park), the committee poured over 350 nominations, representing 180 businesses/organizations, ultimately choosing 10 finalists in each category and six winners:
    Community Character 2019 Spotlight Award Winner:  Wonder Works Children’s Museum
    Customer Experience 2019 Spotlight Award Winner:  CAA The Hearing Place
    Excellent Eats 2019 Spotlight Award Winner:  Wild Onion Tied House
    Local Legend 2019 Spotlight Award Winner:  The Day Nursery
    New & Notable 2019 Spotlight Award Winner: Poke Burrito
    Small Business Superhero 2019 Spotlight Award Winner: Palmgren Acupuncture

    The 4th Annual Business Spotlight Awards recognizes and celebrates businesses and community organizations across six categories of leadership. The program is open to all businesses in the Oak Park, River Forest and surrounding communities. Category winners receive laudatory press and complimentary marketing, as well as a one-year free membership to the Oak Park – River Forest Chamber.
