    Position Summary:

     

    The Special Events and Development Manager is a key contributor to the OPRF Chamber's mission by strategically planning and executing special events and sponsorship programs that generate revenue and promote community engagement. This role also involves managing marketing channels to enhance visibility and participation in Chamber activities.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    Special Event Management:

     
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute annual special events, including the Health and Wellness Fair, Annual Meeting, Economic Symposium, and Spotlight Soiree.

     
    • Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budget management, and participant registration.

     
    • Work closely with committees, volunteers, and staff to ensure the success of events.

     

    Sponsorship Development:

     
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential sponsors for Chamber events and initiatives.

     
    • Develop sponsorship packages and proposals to attract and retain sponsors.

     
    • Collaborate with sponsors to ensure fulfillment of sponsorship commitments and build lasting partnerships.

     

    Marketing Channel Management:

     
    • Manage marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and the Chamber website, to promote events and engage the community.

     
    • Create and distribute marketing materials, event promotions, and newsletters to members and the broader community.

     
    • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.

     

    Revenue Generation:

     
    • Develop strategies to maximize revenue from special events, sponsorships, and other fundraising initiatives.

     
    • Set and achieve annual revenue targets and report progress to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

     
    • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of revenue.

     

    Budget Management:

     
    • Prepare and manage budgets for special events, sponsorships, and marketing activities, ensuring financial sustainability.

     
    • Monitor expenses and revenues to stay within budgetary constraints.

     

    Qualifications:

     

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.

     

    Previous experience in event planning, sponsorship development, and marketing.

     

    Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.

     

    Excellent project management and organizational skills.

     

    Proficiency in marketing tools and software, including social media platforms and email marketing tools.

     

    Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving revenue targets.

     

    Compensation:

     

    Base salary of $45,000 per year.

    Performance-based bonuses based on revenue generation and event success.
