    Job Description
    Seeking an administrative assistant who is enthusiastic, energetic and reliable to join our practice, Palmgren Acupuncture. We’re an established acupuncture clinic in downtown Oak Park. Our specialty is pain management. Work in a calm, supportive environment that will help you grow and be the best version of you.  

    Required Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Good phone skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Proficient with using Windows
    • Can type proficiently
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Background in customer service or sales preferred
    • Experience in social media, bookkeeping, or HR is a plus
    • Experience in healthcare Not Required
    • 20-25 hours/week: Mondays 11:30 am-8 pm, Wednesdays 11:30 am-8 pm and Saturdays 7:30 am-2 pm
    Job duties include:
    • Scheduling patients using an online calendar
    • Checking out patients using a point-of-sale terminal
    • Writing emails/letters to patients and professional contacts
    • Answering phone
    • Providing support to our practitioners and coordinating their schedules
    • Cleaning and sanitizing treatment rooms between sessions and cleaning at end of shift
    • Spot cleaning and sanitizing high-touch areas like doorknobs, faucets, lightswitches
    • Basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks (we'll train you)
    • Keeping track of inventory and office supplies
