About our Panelists
Jeff Mays was appointed as Director of the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) by Governor Bruce Rauner on January 12, 2015. Since joining, Director Mays immediately focused on enhancing the agency’s services for job seekers, claimants and employers, and on making IDES the pre-eminent employment agency in Illinois.
Whether it’s connecting employers to job-seekers, helping unemployed individuals find meaningful work, providing unemployment insurance to those who are eligible, producing labor market data or protecting taxpayers from unemployment insurance fraud -- IDES impacts thousands of people each day and helps them through their challenging times.
Chere Taylor, CEO of Fulcrum HR, holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. Chere is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) and also holds a Senior Certified Professional certification (SHRM-SCP) from the Society of Human Resource Management. She brings comprehensive executive level human resource experience in the finance, banking and commercial real estate industries.

Michael Weicher is the owner of the Weicher Law Offices, P.C. and has been an attorney for more than fourteen years. His broad experience as a small business lawyer has led through a variety of employment related issues. He currently serves as the ethics commissioner for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District. He earned his J.D. at Loyola University Chicago and has completed five marathons.
Molly Rudberg's background is a potent mix of executive and life coaching, personal branding, leadership development, marketing strategy, production, working at thriving companies and running her own business for nearly a decade and a half. Her University of Iowa liberal arts mindset meets the strategic world of Northwestern’s Masters in Managerial Communication program – wrapped up with an Accomplishment Coaching affiliation bow. With this experience has come an innate ability to see how clients create their our own walls and detours – how we get in the way of our own success. And, instinctively, she sees and hears what her clients and their organizations need to do to reach that place they most want to be.
