Carmina Burana at Symphony Center in Chicago
The Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest will present Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy and Carl Orff’s popular Carmina Burana at Chicago’s prestigious Symphony Center at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 23. Soloists include soprano Jessica Louise Coe, soprano Deborah Williams, mezzo-soprano Julia Elise Hardin, tenor Thomas Hueber, baritone Daniel Eifert, and pianist Patrick Godon. The Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest and combined choruses will be conducted by Music Director Jay Friedman. Collaborating in the program are The Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest Chorus, Pro Musica Youth Chorus, and City Voices, conducted by William Chin, Tower Chorale, conducted by Patrick Godon, Concordia University’s Schola Cantorum and Laudate conducted by Maurice Boyer, Chicago State University Choir conducted by Deborah Williams, and Männerchor and Kappelle conducted by Charles Brown.
