SUMMARY:Young Professionals Talk Reparations with Christian Harris
DESCRIPTION:Racial injustice has clearly been a long part of American history. Efforts to right the injustices have been more sporadic\, and the current national conversation about the issue isn't moving forward very easily. \n\nWhile racism is national\, transnational\, and systemic\, it's often at the local level that progress can be made. Local business owner and community leader Christian Harris is a thoughtful voice on what localized reparations might look like - and a member of the Chamber's Young Professionals group. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe invite you to join us for a friendly conversation about local actions that could be taken toward racial equity. Please understand this is not going to be a debate about whether injustice is real nor whether reparations are needed - this is an opportunity to learn from one of our members who is a thought leader on the topic. We look forward to learning from Christian! \n\n\n\nWe'll meet at Madison Park Kitchen in Forest Park\, where you can enjoy good conversation over a good breakfast. Some parking is available in back of the restaurant.
