We welcome Erik Harmon\, Director of Commercial Outreach for the Cook County Assessor's Office\, who will share with us about how to ensure you are paying no more than you need to in taxes on your commercial property. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProperties in our part of Cook County will be reassessed this year. This assessment forms the basis for how your property taxes are set and what you will have to pay.\n\n.\nWhat can you do to make sure that the assessment of your property is accurate?\nLearn how the Assessor's office determines property values\, how to correct inaccurate information\, and how to appeal assessments. And learn what timeline all this has to be done on\, and what resources are available to help you in the process! \n\n.\nWhat if you lease your commercial space?\nIn situations where the lessee is responsible for paying the property taxes\, they can provide the Assessor's Office with information that can help their property be assessed more accurately by telling them more about how income is generated by the property.\n\n\n\nPlease join us on the 18th!
