This presentation helps those who care for others in their work learn how they can sustain their own mental and physical wellbeing while also providing compassionate care to their clients. We'll discuss which intentional self-care activities can actually help us build compassion resilience and create a personalized self-care plan.\n\nPresented by: Trina Bockus is a Certified Family Support Specialist for NAMI Metro Suburban and The Loft at 8 Corners. She supports families who have loved ones living with a mental health condition using her lived experience. She has two adult daughters and previous careers in customer support management and teaching women how to rollerskate. She lives in Oak Park with her dog\, Godfrey\, and likes to sing in a choir\, crochet and walk in the Forest Preserves\, but not all at once.\n\nLearning Objectives: Upon completion of this program\, participants will be able to:\n\n\n	Understand the similarities and differences between secondary trauma\, vicarious trauma\, compassion fatigue and burnout.\n	Understand the role the stress cycle can play in compassion fatigue\, burnout and vicarious trauma.\n	Learn which intentional self-care activities can aid in the completion of stress cycles and nervous system regulation to help build and maintain compassion resilience.

LOCATION:ONLINE Webinar Accessing the Webinar: Registrants will receive reminder emails from the Community Mental Health Board of Oak Park Township that include instructions to join the virtual event. Access to the event will be provided through a Zoom link enabled 30 minutes before the event start time.
