We would love to see you for our February Meditation Monday! CLICK HERE for all the deets!\n\nTake a Break with Us\nWe know that the holidays can be busy\, and it can be stressful juggling family and work. We are guessing that you could use some TLC!\n\n\n\nJoin us as we launch our NEW Chamber program aimed at taking care of you\, our small business community. Welcome to our monthly Meditation Mondays! All it takes is half an hour (that's only 30 mins!) for us to help you put your to-do list aside\, empty your head of all the chatter and truly look after yourself.\n\n\n\n \nWho will lead the meditation?\nWe are thrilled to partner with the Kadampa Meditation Center in Oak Park to bring you this monthly meditation. The fabulous Kelsang Chogo will lead the meditation and talk you through every step. You don't need to do anything but show up and breath!\n\n\n\n\n\n(Look! You will be as happy as Chogo after you join us every month!)\nWhat if I have never meditated before?\nNo problem! We know that lots of people have never done a meditation before\, but now is the time to start. We've got you covered.\n\nHow can just sitting help me?\nJust trust us. After joining us for 30 minutes you will feel more relaxed\, focused and calm. Who doesn't want more of that!\n\nNervous to sit with your own thoughts?\nWe truly know that sometimes it's easier to stay busy than to sit still. Does your mind start racing? Are you making to-do lists? Kelsang Chogo will help you every step of the way to calm your nerves and settle that "monkey mind."\n\nWhere are we meeting?\nWe will be meeting at The Boulevard Arcade in Oak Park\, the home of Crossfunction Flexible Workspace. Co-owner Christine Lon (who is also a Chamber Board member!) is committed to the mental health of our business community and has thrown open the doors of the Boulevard Arcade.\n\n\n\n\nBuilt 1906\, the original first floor of the Boulevard Arcade was designed by renowned Oak Park Architect\, E. E. Roberts. In 1922 a second floor was added\, and the building became a boutique shopping arcade featuring products and services exclusively for women.\n\nThe Boulevard Arcade is an Oak Park historic landmark and when you visit you can enjoy the original terrazzo floors\, tin ceiling finishes\, historic woodwork and the original iron staircase.\n\n\n\n\n\nOur meditation will be held in The Vault Boardroom which boasts the original vault door where women's furs were kept under lock & key (think: bank vault!) during the summer months. This room also features an oculus where natural light peers down from the second floor Atrium. X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
