SUMMARY:Nonprofit Affinity Group / Building Lasting Impact: Strategies for Major Donor Cultivation
DESCRIPTION:The Chamber's Nonprofit Affinity Group gathers the first Thursday of most months to connect with each other and benefit from some professional development. We start at 12:30 with time to network\, then have our presenter begin at 1 pm. We welcome you to join us! \n\n \n\nThis month: "Building Lasting Impact: Strategies for Major Donor Cultivation"\n\nMajor donors can be a dream come true for nonprofit organizations\, as potential long-term sources of support with less paperwork required than for foundation grants\, and with more impact than smaller-gift donors. But they also don't typically advertise their willingness to donate and their giving priorities the way a foundation does. So how does one cultivate people who may be in a position to make sizable gifts to a nonprofit? \n\nHeidi Ruehle\, now in her third executive director and lead fundraiser role with local nonprofits\, will share with us from her experience in this area. \n\n \n\n\n\nWHO IS OUR PRESENTER?\n\n\n\n\n\nHeidi Ruehle joined the Imagine Foundation in 2024. She has spent over 25 years in the Oak Park area\, serving in leadership positions for several community and nonprofit organizations. Most recently\, she served as the executive director of the Unity Temple Restoration Foundation\, with prior experience in fundraising and development. Heidi lives in Oak Park and is a parent of two OPRF students. \n\n\n\nLocation and Parking:\n\nLocation: Tacos '76\, 838 Madison\, Oak Park\n\nParking: street parking is available on Madison Street and on Grove Avenue
