DESCRIPTION:Date: Thursday\, September 17\n\nNetworking Reception: 5:00 PM 7:00 PM\n\nLocation: Parmer Hall Atrium (Building #10)\, Dominican University\n\nKeynote Program: 7:00 PM 8:30 PM\n\nLocation: Lund Auditorium (Building #4)\, Dominican University\n\nParking is available in the Parking Garage (D) and West Parking Lot (E).\n\nJoin the Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce and Dominican University for an evening of meaningful connections\, community building\, and celebration as we kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with a special Networking Pre-Reception before An Evening with Author Marcelo Hernandez Castillo.\n\nThis gathering will bring together Chamber members\, business leaders\, educators\, students\, nonprofit professionals\, and community partners for an opportunity to connect\, exchange ideas\, and celebrate the contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres and beer and wine while building new relationships and engaging in conversations that strengthen our community.\n\nFollowing the reception\, guests are invited to attend An Evening with Author Marcelo Hernandez Castillo\, an acclaimed poet\, memoirist\, educator\, and advocate whose work explores immigration\, identity\, belonging\, and the undocumented experience.\n\nBoth the Networking Reception and Author Event are free and open to Chamber Members and Non-Members.
