Holiday Decor - Not Just for Retailers!

This year, the Chamber is working with seven commercial neighborhoods in Oak Park to create some street-level vibrancy and excitement during the holiday season.  In partnership with McAdam Landscaping, we have created a program to decorate the pedestrian, ornamental lamp posts with festive garland and, where there is electricity, holiday lights (where there is no electricity, we'll look to add a wreath and bow).

Like most towns across America, holiday decor ultimately is the responsibility of the businesses in the commercial district.  In previous years, it has been difficult to organize the businesses and generate the funding necessary to pay for the decorations and installation.  This year, we are fortunate to have a grant from the Village of Oak Park and permission from the local businesses to let the Chamber organize the program.  We are excited about the project and expect to see the decorations installed the week after Thanksgiving.

We ore offering sponsorships of the 200+ individual poles to help defray the costs.  Sponsors will be featured on a festive "gift tag" sign that will be tied onto the sponsored lamp post with decorative red ribbon.  Sponsorships cost $150 per pole in the Hemingway, Pleasant and Arts districts and $100 per pole in Southtown, Chicago-Harlem, Chicago-Austin and Lake-Austin districts.  The poles will be decorated through mid January, so plenty of people will have the opportunity to see your name, logo and commitment to our community!

We encourage you to sponsor as many poles as possible.  And, you need NOT be a member of the district nor a retailer!  Choose multiple districts for added visibility!
