Bring your experience and knowledge to help strengthen our membership
while developing valuable business contacts.
Any employee of an Oak Park-River Forest Chamber member company is
welcome to participate in the Chamber’s activities and initiatives.
- Finance Committee - Charged with overseeing and reporting the
financial position of the organization and making recommendations on the
following: membership dues structure, accounts receivable, accounting
practices, and tax issues. The committee also participates in the
preparation of cost/benefit analyses for new programs and services.

- Membership Committee - Charged with understanding and
monitoring the needs of the Membership and designing membership packages
and benefits that ensure satisfaction and better member recruitment and
retention.

- Marketing Communications Committee - Charged with increasing
the awareness and reputation of the Chamber by developing marketing and
communications programs directed at the membership and the community at
large. Targeted projects include: website development and maintenance,
Chamber newsletter, and Community Guide.

Starship Restaurant & Caterer - 708-771-3016
- Events and Activities Committee - Charged with planning and
implementation of all special events and activities including, but not
limited to: Business After Hours Meetings, Annual Meetings, Sports
Outing, and Athena and Blue Chip Awards. The committee also advances the
good name and reputation of the Chamber through these events, satisfies
the needs of the members, and generates new revenue for the
organization.

- Business Advocacy Committee - Charged with building a program
to improve relations with government representatives, monitoring
upcoming issues or changes that may impact membership and businesses and
recommending and implementing appropriate advocacy activity on behalf of
Chamber members and the business community.
