    West Suburban Special Recreation Association

    Year-round recreational programs for individuals of all ages with disabilities are provided by the West Suburban Special Recreation Association, a cooperative of the Park District of Oak Park and nine other neighboring communities.  Persons of all ages with special needs can enjoy programs led by specially trained staff.  Participants include those with developmental disabilities, hearing or vision loss and those who have autism, mental illness, behavior an learning difficulties.  WSSRA also serves the special interests of adults who have physical limitations from strokes, multiple sclerosis or conditions that impair mobility.

    Guests enjoy a diving well equipped with drop slides, one meter diving boards and a diving towel with five, seven and ten meter platforms. A 50-meter zero edge pool with spray-play apparatus, a separate 6-and-under wading pool and sand play area are also located at this facility.

    Guests can find a diving will with 1 and 3-meter boards, a 50-meter pool and a 7-and-under zero edge wading pool with a spray-play appratus.
     
    Ridgeland Commons Indoor Ice Rink

    Operates from October o March.  Offers skating lessons, open skating and hockey leagues & lessons.
