  • Event Team: April Community Health and Wellness team
    Committee of volunteers who work with local governments to understand and communicate issues and advocate on behalf of local businesses and Chamber members (Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per month)
    Event Team: Our Annual Meeting is a breakfast held at Pleasant Home. This team runs that event, which is free and open to all members.

    Committee of volunteers who oversee the Chamber's annual calendar of major events and fundraisers. In addition to setting the ''annual line-up,'' the Group ensures that the various event committees have adequate resources. (Note: these folks are not responsible for working every event, but rather managing and guiding the various event-specific sub-committees.)
    Committee of volunteers who, under the direction of the Board Treasurer, provide financial and operations oversight for the Chamber (Time commitment: 2-4 hours per month)
    Event Team that runs the annual July golf outing
    Committee of volunteers working with the Board secretary who ensure the Chamber is functioning in accordance with its mission and by-laws. Committee also oversees HR aspects including staff, Board development, volunteer management, etc. (Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per month or as needed)
    Affinity Group of members active in the Health and Wellness industry. This group meets twice a year to exchange referral cards and puts on the annual Community Health and Wellness Fair.
    Affinity Group to be formed in 2016: networking and support group for members who work out of their homes.
    Committee of volunteers committed to marketing the Chamber to the business community (Time commitment: one 60 minute meeting per month plus 1-2 hours additional work each month. Meetings typically are held on the fourth Friday of the month at the Wednesday Journal from 8:30am-9:30am
    Committee of volunteers who advise the Board on overall member benefits, policies and programming
    Committee that provides oversight to educational programming, including Lunch & Learns, speaker series and social media and technology classes.
    Event Team: Volunteer Ambassadors who represent the Chamber at ribbon cuttings. Ribbon cuttings typically are held on Fridays at 11:30am and last about 30 minutes. Time commitment: attend as many as your schedule allows. Notifications are sent out two weeks before the event.     Committee manages the Chamber scholarship program, including collecting, reviewing and evaluating applications
    Affinity Group of Chamber Women interested in getting together to network and discuss relevant issues (Time commitment: meetings are held on the first and third Fridays of the month from 9am - 10:30am) Sign up by logging in to the Member Information Center and looking under Settings > Personal > Groups / Interests
    Affinity Group of ''Young-Identifying'' professionals in the Chamber who gather monthly to discuss areas of professional grown and career development.
