  • What is FoodieFest?

In 2013, the OPRF Chamber of Commerce together with the Visit Oak Park tourism bureau, our primary retail district Downtown Oak Park and the Wednesday Journal / oakpark.com decided to hold a festival highlighting our local dining options.  The Oak Park - River Forest - Forest Park - Berwyn area has literally dozens of wonderful restaurants and caterers of all different cuisines and price points.  We wanted to let everyone know that we are a dining destination!

We modeled Foodie Fest off "restaurant week" promotions across the country.  Restaurants feature prix fixe menus, each with three items or courses.  Meals are priced at either $10, $20 or $30.

Foodie Fest runs two weeks in the winter, giving you plenty of time to enjoy lots of wonderful restaurants!

    What is Bite Nite?

Bite Nite is styled after a gourmet food show.  Party-goers will be treated to little "bites" and samples from over 50 different local chefs.  Meet with restaurant owners, learn about recipes, sample terrific food.  Music, entertainment and door prizes for gift certificates.  Beer and wine sold separately.   Individual tickets are $30 or, come with friends and save:  four tickets for $100
