Toxic Chemicals: Kids in Danger a One Earth Film Festival Screening event
Is our dependence on pesticides harming the health of our children? Every day, children are exposed to up to 130 chemical pollutants from pesticides. All around the world, scientists and doctors are raising the alarm, linking increases in child cancers, birth defects and even the explosion of autism with exposure to chemicals in pesticides. Please join us for a post-film Q&A with Illinois State Senator Don Harmon, and Dr. Warren Porter, Zoology and Environmental Toxicology professor at University of Wlsconsin, Madison. Find local action opportunities through action partners GoGreen Oak Park, Midwest Pesticide Action Center, Mom's Clean Air Force, the Lead Abatement Center, and Food + Water Watch. Light refreshments will be available. *May include some heavy themes and disturbing images. Schedule subject to change. Check website for current info on this & more than 45 other film events. Most screenings are free with $6 suggested donation. Secure your seat! Reserve tickets at: oneearthfilmfest.org
