Directory Info

The Chamber's online business directory is a free resource available to all businesses located in or primarily serving the Oak Park area.  We define this economic region as Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park and the border neighborhoods, such as parts of the Austin community, north Berwyn, Galewood and south Elmwood Park.

Businesses outside this area are welcome to join the Chamber to get a Chamber listing but are not eligible for a free listing.

The Chamber retains the right to approve applications at its sole discretion.  Businesses should be established commercial enterprises, as evidenced by a Federal Employee Identification Number (EIN), website or e-commerce site,  or other verifiable means.

Note that once a year the Chamber works with a publishing company to produce a printed community guide with a membership listing.  That annual print version of the directory lists Chamber members only.  It is published in June and includes Chamber Members in good standing as of April 30.

There are three types of business listings and rankings within the directory, depending on whether the business is a Chamber Member, a Business District Merchant Association member or a local business interested only in the free basic listing.

1 (A) Chamber Member - Standard / Premium Tiers

• Enhanced search directory listing: top billing, logo, business description

• Click through to enhanced e-Page

• Multiple categories, including Business District (location)

• Red “Chamber swirls” icon

• Business name, address, phone #, map link, website link

• If they are ALSO a Business District Association member, the address will include the line “in xxx Business District”

1 (B) Chamber Member - Basic Tier

• Basic search directory listing, to appear after the higher level members, but above the non-members. No logo, description or website click-through in search directory listing

• Click through to basic e-Page

• Multiple categories, including Business District (location)

• Gray “Chamber swirls” icon

• Business name, address, phone #, map link

• If they are ALSO a Business District Association member, the address will include the line “in xxx Business District”

2 & 3 Non-Chamber Member

• 2 - Business District Merchant Association Member

  • Listed in directory

  • Two categories:  Business District (location) plus Primary Business Category

  • Blue “BDA” (Business District Association) icon next to name in directory listings

  • Business name, address, phone #, map link

  • Map link contains website link

  • Address includes the line “in xxx Business District”

  • These businesses also appear as “Featured Businesses” on the District Merchant Association’s web page

• 3 - Not a Member of Chamber or Business District Association

  • Listed in directory

  • Two categories: Business District (location) plus Primary Business Category

  • Business name, address, phone

  • No icon, map, website link or business district designation in address
