    From her responsibilities for special events at WGN-AM Radio, through her 10-year ownership of Marketing Works Unlimited, Ms. Burdin has more than 30 years of wide-ranging marketing experience. Beth applies expertise in brand and message development, advertising, media relations, sales promotion, social media, websites, e-newsletters, print collateral, direct mail, special events, and incentive programs to build successful, integrated campaigns. Ms. Burdin currently directs marketing communications initiatives for Oak-Leyden Developmental Services.

    Ms. Burdin graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, was a Core Team Member for the kick-off of the OPRF PlanItGreen sustainability plan, a founder and Chair of the Park District of Oak Park’s (PDOP) Greening Advisory Committee, and lead author of the PDOP’s Environmental Policy.  Ms. Burdin has been recognized by the Illinois Park and Recreation Association with its 2008 Community Service Award, was awarded a 2011 Silver Trumpet by the Publicity Club of Chicago for the overhaul of Millennium Park/Lurie Garden’s “Sense the Unexpected” brochure, a 2013 Gold Trumpet for a year-long Chicago Flower & Garden Show marketing campaign, and a 2013 Silver Trumpet for the naming, branding, and media coverage for “The Screen” in Millennium Park’s Jay Pritzker Pavilion.
