• Chamber Options For Promoting Your Business or Event

  • We have five outlets for members to pass along information to other members:

    1. Use Our Website.

Post on our calendar.  Our events calendar gets over 100,000 views each year from business people looking for interesting events.  You can post through the Member Information Center (using your member login and password) or via the "Submit New Event" feature on the calendar page which is open to the public.  The MIC route gives you more functionality and the ability to load pictures and logos.

You'll also find the ability to post news releases, job postings and "hot deals" or specials / coupons.  Unlike event postings which are available to anyone, only Silver Level and above Chamber members can use these three features.

Note that anything you post on the website is pushed to our Facebook and Twitter feeds.

    2.  Send an eBlast.

If you would like is to send an email announcing your event to our member database, send us the information through the "eBlast Request" application under the Promote tab on our website.  Note that Silver Members are entitled to one free eBlast per year.  Additional eBlasts cost $50.

eBlasts are created using the Constant Contact email management program and are sent to our database of emails, including business and residential addresses.  Note that you must submit the eBlast application at least a week in advance, as it takes us some time to create email.

    3.  Post to our Social Media Sites

Post our Facebook Page, add our Twitter account @oprfchamber to your tweet or post it to our LinkedIn Group.   We'll do our best to share and re-post.  You also can post information whenever you have time on the member update feed in the MIC.

    4.  In Person Announcements

Announce the event when you attend one of our events - typically we allocate a portion of all of our programming to let members make announcements

    5. Flyers or Handouts

Drop off literature or marketing collateral at the Chamber Office.  We will pass it out as best we can, bringing it with us to various events, adding it to Welcome Bags and displaying it in the office.

You'll note the model is largely self-serve so that we can make our distribution channels accessible to all of our members, despite limited staff resources. If you need help with any of these options, please give us a call at the office - we'd be delighted to walk you through it.
